My bf scoops a bowl of ice cream and just does a bunch of chores until its melted, he says it’s the best way to eat it.

Tell him to instead push the ice cream against the sides of the bowl at a moderate pace, soon it will start almost sticking to both the sides and the spoon when he pulls it away, kind of like taffy, continue doing that to the entire bowl until it gets to a soft serve type consistency, then enjoy.

Has he ever tried a milkshake? Jokes aside, this is how I’d eat ice cream when I was a kid. Although i was too impatient to wait, so I’d stir it around a bunch until it was sort of soupy then eat it. Bonus points if there were chocolate chips or anything in it because then you could get one big bite of the toppings 🙂 mmmm mint chocolate ice cream soup while watching Wheel of Fortune. Good memories.

You can taste the flavor more when it’s softened and not quite as cold. I never eat mine without letting it melt a bit first.

I once took ben and jerrys out of the freezer while baked sat down waiting until its Not Rockhard anymore and well. I fell asleep of course but i must say the cookie dough milkshake i had the next day was still fire even tho i felt bad about the calories all day after.
